Abstract:

A simple parametrization is given for the rapidity distributions of negative pions produced in proton-proton collisions with fixed charged multiplicities. Once the relevant parameters are adjusted at one incident energy and one rapidity point, our formula reproduces well the shape in rapidity, the multiplicity dependence and the energy dependence of the distributions in the central region.
