Transition Temperatures of Quasi-One-Dimensional Conductors

Abstract:

The CDW transition temperature TP and the SS (singlet superconductivity) transition temperature TS of quasi-one-dimensional conductors are recalculated. The phase representation of the BGD model is used. The calculation is applied to the case g1<0, where g1(g2) is the coupling constant of the intrachain backward (forward) scattering of the BGD model. A careful treatment of the cutoff energy ωD removes the divergence of TP(TS) when \tildeα≡(g2-g1/2)/(πvF)→-3/5(3/5) which appeared in the previous result. When \tildeα=-3/5, the CDW transition temperature TP is expressed as TP=8ωDexp (-5πωD2/vFJ0), where Jk is the Fourier transform of the interchain CDW coupling. A similar result is obtained for TS.
