Abstract:
It is shown that the universal evolution criterion with excess entropy production by Glansdorff and Prigogine holds in the self-synchronization of microscopic oscillations, provided that the thermodynamic force is properly defined. The applicability of the present conclusion to more general cases are also discussed.
