Fermi-Liquid Corrections to the Collective Modes in 3He-B under a Weak Magnetic Field

Abstract:

We study the Fermi-liquid corrections to the mean frequencies and Zeeman splittings of the collective modes in 3He-B. In the case of the J=2 modes locations of the real and imaginary modes, which are observed to be somewhat lower than predicted, can be explained with negative values for F2a and F2s. The Zeeman splittings are also modified by F2a (real modes) and F2s (imaginary modes) and their observation may provide further information about the Landau-parameters.
