Generalized Grassmannian Nonlinear σ Model with a Group Parameter α

Abstract:
The dependence of the renormalization group β function on a group parameter α is investigated for the Grassmannian nonlinear σ model. A parameter α takes the value of 1, 2 and 4 for orthogonal, unitary, symplectic case, respectively. Including Cayley projective space (α=8), the generalization of arbitrary α is considered.
