Abstract:

A new scheme for the mixing of η', η and the glueball G(1440) is presented on the basis of the QCD mass formula incorporated with the axial-anomaly. To be consistent with the phenomenology on Γ(η→2 γ), Γ(η' →2 γ) and Γ(ψ→η' γ)/ Γ(ψ→ηγ), etc. a new set of mixing angles is found, which replaces the traditional η'-η angle θ≃11° by the corresponding angle θ1 that amounts to ≃30°. The predicted G →2 γ width, Γ(G →2 γ) ≃(70 ±30)keV, may be useful to check the present scheme.
