Stochastic Quantization and the Gribov Problem in Non-Abelian Gauge Theories

Abstract:

The Gribov problem of gauge fixing in non-abelian gauge theories is investigated in the framework of stochastic quantization. A criterion is given for a confinement of the sample path of gauge field configurations inside the Gribov region where the Faddeev-Popov determinant is positive.
