Abstract:

The recently observed scale breaking in e+e- single particle inclusive reation reported by TASSO and MARK II is analysed by the perturbative QCD in the two loop approximation. The effect of finite hadron masses is carefully studied by use of the Monte Carlo simulations. This effect is shown to be small in z>0.2 but is not negligible in some model. We obtain the scale parameter Λ\overlineMS=300+300-200MeV for TASSO data. This large uncertainty reflects the ambiguity of simulations arising from model dependence for event generation. It is concluded that the scale breaking is well described by QCD being consistent with the analysis of deep inelastic scatterings.
