Abstract:
Evolution of voids in the Einstein-de Sitter universe is examined. Numerical calculations including matter pressure are performed in general relativistic method. A dense ridge is formed in the nonlinear stage, and its expansion law is approximated as t0.8 for mass compensated perturbations, and as t0.9 for mass deficient ones. Their expansion behaviour is almost independent of their size. If the sizes of the observed voids are in the range of (20∼100)h-1 Mpc, their sizes at recombination are in the range of (6∼30)Kpc or (0.02∼0.1)×(particle horizon size). It is concluded that the present observed voids require the fluctuations with |δρ/ρ| > 0.005 and size∼6.0×10-3 Mpc at the recombination. These values cannot be explained by the adiabatic scenario.
