Abstract:

Primordial nucleosynthesis in a “cold” universe is investigated for wide ranges of both the initial baryon / photon ratio, 3×10-6≤ηi ≤15, and lepton/ baryon ratio, 1≤Le/B≤105. Constraints on these parameters are obtained from the abundance of heavy elements. Most importantly, cold universe models with a baryon / photon ratio ηi > 10-4 can be ruled out.
