Abstract:
The electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron at large momentum transfers are investigated in the framework of convariant oscillator quark model by assuming that the deuteron contains the six-quark cluster component in the core region in addition to the ordinary nuclear physics component. The spin effects are also taken into account by making use of the convariant spin wave function in the minimally boosted scheme. Our theoretical curves seem to be consistent with experiments.
