Abstract:

A mixed two-component model is proposed for changed-particle multiplicity distributions from high energy pp and p p collisions in which pionization in the central region is assumued to follow a negative binomial distribution. The fit is at least as good as fitting by a purely negative binomial distribution and yet offers a two-component mechanism. Extrapolation is made for cms energy of 10 TeV.
