Abstract:

Collective low-excitation modes of spherical nuclei are studied by the dynamical nuclear field theory. The pairing-plus-multipole force model is used. In even-even nuclei, the phonon defined in the collective coordinates coincides with that of RPA, owing to the self-consistency conditions. By taking the set of chosen bases (p space) of odd-mass nuclei as one quasiparticle with phonons, we derive the particle-vibration couplings of first- and second-order. Another choice of the p space consisting solely of one quasiparticle states gives effective operators, of which correction terms we can classify in a simple way.
