Weak Constraints in Conformal Field Theories on Higher-Genus Riemann Surfaces

— Calculation of the Schwarzian Connection and Modified Vertex Operators —

Abstract:

We consider a quantization of conformal fields with weak constraints on higher-genus Riemann surfaces. This method is applied to the Coulomb gas model. We calculate the Schwarzian connection in order to obtain the KN algebra in this model, and then construct a new modified vertex operator. This vertex operator makes it possible to define the screening operators on higher-genus Riemann surfaces.
