Formation of Double-Λ Hypernucleus from Quasi-Free Ξ- Absorption

Abstract:

A possibility to observe a double-Λ hypernucleus is investigated in the case of a quasi-free Ξ- absorption at a (K-, K+) reaction point. A quasi-free Ξ particle brings about a double-Λ compound nucleus in a probability of 0.3
