Abstract:

The structure of highly excited states of the hypernucleus 6ΛLi has been studied within the framework of the microscopic 3He + d + Λ cluster model which should cover the broken-α degree of freedom. We employ the effective NN and ΛN interactions which reproduce the experimental binding energies of constituent two-cluster systems (3He + d and 3He + Λ), and we investigate effects of the three-body dynamics. It is shown that the excitation energy of the pronounced peak (18.3 MeV) observed in the (K-, π-) reaction is successfully reproduced by the 3He + d + Λ model. The model also explains the sharp width and the cross section.
