Abstract:

Considering the internal translation group in spin space, the concept of connection 1-form is somewhat extended by loosening the Cartan-Maurer condition. Soldering forms are then interpreted in terms of “extended connections” of the group. The general coordinate transformations are induced from the internal translations by imposing the extended Cartan-Maurer condition.
