Scattering Observables of Σ⁺p System in the SU₆ Quark Model

Abstract:

Scattering observables of the Σ⁺p interaction are examined in a (3q) - (3q) RGM which incorporates effective meson-exchange potentials determined consistently with the NN data. The differential cross sections and the polarization at pΣ= 450 MeV/c are found to be significantly different from predictions by some OBEP models, suggesting the importance of measuring these quantities.
