On the Theory of the Meson Decay *

Abstract:

By combining Yukawa's theory of nuclear forces with Fermi's theory of the beta-disintegration, a new theory of the meson decay is proposed. The resulting lifetime of the meson is in reasonable accord with cosmic ray observations.
