Abstract:
Brillouin scattering of deuterized ethylene glycol was measured from
216 K to 405 K and dielectric measurement was done from 150 K to 215
K. To avoid crystallization and evaporation, the quick measurement
of Brillouin scattering was done for about one hour by using angular dispersion
Fabry-Perot interferometer system. The observed Brillouin spectra
are analyzed by a single relaxation model. The determined relaxation frequency
obeys the Arrhenius law and due to the fast relaxation process comparison
with the α-process observed by the dielectric measurement.
