Impurity-Induced Ordered Phases in Quasi-One-Dimensional Spin-Gap Systems

Abstract:
Experimental results of the impurity-induced ordered phases in CuGeO3 and
PbNi2V2O8 are reviewed. It will be shown that the occurrence of the
impurity-induced ordered phase is a common nature of the
quasi-one-dimensional spin-gap systems irrespective of half-odd integer or
integer spin values of magnetic ions in host materials.
