Abstract:
We consider cosmological evolution in the context of the
compactified Hořava-Witten theory. We put the perfect fluid
on two orbifold fixed planes, which, after the compactification
to the Calabi-Yau three orbifold, can be regarded as three-branes.
We make the assumption that the energy density
of the perfect fluid is much smaller than the tension of the brane.
In such a limit, we are able to derive analogs of the conventional
Friedmann equation and the energy conservation law.
