Abstract:
Recently Martin has enlarged the domain of analyticity of the scattering amplitudes substantially within the framework of axiomatic field theory. Although it is still much smaller than that assumed in the Mandelstam representation, it already imposes rather strong restrictions on the properties of the scattering amplitude. This paper is a review of some recent results concerning the high energy behavior of forward scattering amplitudes which are derived from unitarity and rigorously proved analyticity.

The formulas in Table II are actually better than those of this reference by some power of ln s. This improvement is due to A. Martin, private communication.
