Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction and Skyrme Model

Abstract:

I will first talk about the features of the Skyrmion-Skyrmion (SS) interaction clarified by means of the product ansatz within a generalized Skyrme model; (i) the one-pion exchange tail of the SS potential, (ii) the ρ- and ω-meson exchange contributions, (iii) the character of the spin-isospin independent central part, and so on. The validity of the product ansatz is discussed. Secondly, I will talk about the fluctuating effect of the pionic field around the Skyrmions. The πNΔ Yukawa coupling term and the fluctuation effect on the SS interaction in the medium range are discussed.
